Will I receive a CD-ROM of WhiteSmoke?

No - you will receive an email with the download link and all relevant information, so you can re-install it when needed (for instance, when buying a new computer).
Downloading WhiteSmoke only takes a few minutes on a high-speed connection.

What is the Shortcut Key? Where is it located and how do I change it?

Setting the ShortCut Key is simple: right click on the "PENCIL" icon in your Taskbar (bottom right-hand side of the screen, near the clock) and choose "Settings". Your choice of Shortcut Key will appear and you can change it then.

The WhiteSmoke Enrichment button is located in my MS Word but I can't seem to find it in Outlook and other programs. What's wrong?

The Enrichment button appears only in MS Word. In order to run WhiteSmoke from any other application please use the Shortcut Key.

Why does my version of WhiteSmoke look different than the one in the demo on your site?

We are continually upgrading WhiteSmoke's user-interface. The demo is under construction. You have the latest version!

Do I have to be connected to the Internet when using WhiteSmoke?

Yes. When using WhiteSmoke you need to be connected to the Internet. This is due to the fact that our artificial intelligence database is updated on a daily basis. Also, Explorer version 5.01 and above is required in order to use WhiteSmoke.

How do I uninstall WhiteSmoke from my computer?

To uninstall WhiteSmoke, close all MS Word and Outlook windows on your computer. Go into Start, Settings, Control Panel. Click on Add/Remove Programs. Choose WhiteSmoke from the list, and click Remove. This will uninstall the program and all its components. Then go to your C drive, open Program Files, open the WhiteSmoke folder, and delete all the files in this folder. To remove the WhiteSmoke icon from MS Word, right-click on the toolbar in MS Word, left-click on Customize, click on WhiteSmoke and choose delete.

I purchased WhiteSmoke and I receive an "Expired" message. What do I do?

Please close all MS Outlook and MS Word documents that you have open.

Uninstall WhiteSmoke, restart your computer.

Go to: Start -> Programs -> WhiteSmoke -> WhiteSmoke Registration ->Enter your registration code.

I get the following message: "Connection problem". How can I fix it?

Please follow the steps below; they should resolve your issue: Make sure you are connected to the internet (you should be connected whenever you are using WhiteSmoke).
Please explain if you filled in your registration code and received the error message in the registration process (Start -> Programs -> WhiteSmoke -> WhiteSmoke registration -> Continue). Right click on the WhiteSmoke icon that appears by the clock and choose Settings
Send us your User ID (appears on the right). Please inform us if you can see the 'Enrichment' button in Word. Please click on the following link and send us your IP: http://www.whatismyip.com/
If all previous steps were successful, then it may have to do with a firewall. If you have a firewall make sure to configure it so that the firewall does not block our software from communicating with the internet (ask your system administrator for help if you are not sure how to configure it).
